I’ve known Natalie a loooong time. Like 15 years. She’s one of my sister’s best friends. When she got engaged to Matt and asked me to take their engagement photos, I was so excited! They are so fun and playful and sweet together. She gave me total artistic freedom, and they were so easy to work with.
Matt: “On a scale from 1 to the best models you’ve worked with, where are we?”
Me: “Well I usually work with toddlers, so you’re pretty high up there.”
I’m so very happy for them. I can’t wait for their wedding!

a loving and wild family session
oh my goodness, I loved my time with this family. They are adorable and lovely and so real. Jenna is a girl boss and a wonderful mama. Her kids are so sweet and wild. I love that combo. We went for a more Christmas-y vibe with this session and I love it.
Don’t you just want to snuggle that little baby?! She stole my heart.

lifestyle session: cousins as best friends
I loved getting to document the wild and crazy love that the boys I babysit share with their cousins. They’re super close and the boys’ mom wanted to remember this phase of life with photos. 3 sets of siblings… 10 kids. Lots of running around and giggles. So much cuteness.
Childhood is my favorite thing. So much life in those little bodies.

best of 2015
I’m still in New Year’s reflection + planning mode, so I thought I would gather up my favorite images specifically from my sessions in 2015. The year itself felt weird, but I remember all the sessions clearly. 2015 saw my biggest photography improvement so far, for sure. My style and my eye were more clearly defined and fine-tuned. I gained a lot of confidence in my ability to do this. I’m really proud of what I made last year, both in photos and fine art. I always wish to do more, create more, shoot more. I feel like I’m just starting and the possibilities are waiting for me.

holiday time with the Harbour family
Something I always love to watch is how parents interact with their kids, and you can just feel how much his parents love him and how hands-on they are. I know this family decently, and this little boy just melts me! Plus he reminds me of Prince George. Here are some of my favorites from our time together in the park and at their home.

a growing golden family session
I absolutely love being able to document all the milestones of a young family. This is my bestie Nicole (who frequently appears on here!), and we found the most beautiful golden light to capture her growing family. Her little girl is experiencing her last months as the only child before her baby sister arrives this winter.
These colors and the cuteness of toddlerhood just make me have all the heart-eyes!
I can’t wait to meet baby Rory in a few months!

I’ll be at this fun, unique, crafty show this Sunday (Nov. 15) in Long Beach, CA with a table full of my art!
I participated in Patchwork Show last year, and it was such a cool thing to be a part of. It’s a great place for holiday shopping and wandering around by the water on a Sunday. Come join us if you can!

utah session: toddlers + an orchard
I went to Utah on vacation and I did something I’ve never done: a travel session! I really love to travel, I love new scenery, and every time I travel I think “I wish I could get some kids to take photos of here!” So I reached out to my cousin’s friend Mari, who is a stylist, and asked if she wanted to do a session of her cute babies! I’m so incredibly grateful for the word “yes.”
The littles were quite emotional during our session (that happens during golden/witching hour!), but they were still playful and adorable and I loved chasing them around. I loved the fall vibe that you just don’t get in orange county.
